  4. I like this book as it has given moral support to the SC, ST, BCs, to challenge the Hindu Brahmanism. but very sadly the BCs still remaining in the Hindu religion as slaves. who will save them? and Professor Ilaiah failed to show that alternate to the Hindu religion.

There is no way other than following Dr Ambedkar foot steps and embrace buddism. buddism is only the alternative to the Hindu religion

  6. pani paata leni vedhava raasina pustakam chadivi telivi leni vallu Hinduvala meeda, OC la meeda dummetthi postunnaru. Basically SC/ST, BC la ki vunna opportunities kuda OC la ki levu. All we have is the hard working nature & zeal to excel in this competitive world. Indian independence vachina 65 yrs ki kuda with all the opportunities given (reservations, concessions.. etc), if you people still want to complain, that just shows your heights of laziness! All these internet whining SC/ST, BC people are lazy bastards, they are not deprived of anything. If all you people were slaves, then how come you are educated enough to use internet and intelligent enough to read such articles. Go people live a life instead of complaining!

  7. I think only Hindu Religion is all bad things.
all other religions were absolute and perfect.

I suggest writer should be made Indian President or Prime minister to eradicate Hindu Religion and Brahmins from India like Karuna nidi in Chennai.

  8. According to my knowledge Prof.Kancha Ilaiah's Why?I am not Hindu... book was read by most of the Dalits rather than OBC's or Shoodras. Plz rectify Why only Dalits are owning Prof.Kancha Ilaiah's views why not OBC's. Because,I think that Dalits are following Dr.B.R.Ambedkar and Mahathma Jyothi Rao Phoole but OBC's are still now in confuse to whoom they have been to fallow either Ambedkar or Phoole or Swamy Vivekananda or Gandhi.

  9. According to my knowledge Prof.Kancha Ilaiah's Why?I am not a Hindu...book was read by most of the Dalits rather than the OBC's. Plz rectify why Dalits are owning Prof.Kancha's views why not OBC's...??? I think that Dalits are fallowing Mahathma Jyothi Ba Phoole and Dr.B.R.Ambedkar's Philosophy. But most of the OBC's are till today in confuse to whoom they have been to fallow ? Because OBC's are either fallowing Mahathma Phoole or Dr.B.R.Ambedkar but they are fallowing Ganhi, Swamy Vivekananda and Hindu Gods and Goddesess. OBC's should realise and must have to fallow Mahathma Jyothi Ba Phoole and Dr.B.R.Ambedkar's philosophy to emancipate themselves from the Caste Hindu Brahmanicle Hierarchical Society. I hope that Mr.Prof.Kancha Ilaiah will agree with my comment.

  10. Durgam Bhaskar's name & his ideas presented are way too contradicting and lack clarity. Please go to some English classes, else use your mother tongue to express yourself!

  11. What we should be doing is:
    1. Organize our Dalit Community
    2. Bringing intellectuals (who support dalit cause) together to form strategies to pressurize Government in every possible way from street rallies to secretariat lobby to attain greater benefits for dalits in Indian economic growth.
    3. Managing media PR to highlight the plight of dalits all over India
    4. Make documentaries (like Mr.Stalin's India Untounched) to highlight the need for further protection and opportunities.
    5. Fighting legal battles to eliminate discrimination against upwardly mobile but discriminated dalits in Govt and private sector.

People wake up. Government is shrinking, it is retracting from all the sectors, it is a global trend. We can't afford to miss the globalization bus.
Babasaheb gave us political rights, it's time we secure our economic rights. I don't need to tell you that booming service sector in India is 99.5% upper class and upper caste. We need Marxism, alright but that should'nt be a hindrance in embracing economic growth.

The backwardness of our muslim community in India after the fall of Mughals in the north and Nizams in AP, is because of the community not embracing ENGLISH EDUCATION, giving a chance for caste hindus to occupy the hefty positions...the backwardness and the turf between the two communities ultimately ending in partition.

Let's get started before it's too late. Dalit literature attacking "Hindu customs and religion", marxist interpretation of Hindu "sacred" texts and embracing christianity by maligning the majority religion is purely a "scold and run" strategy.....wrong time wrong strategy. It will only lead to accentuation of "Hindutva ideology" and "polarization" on the basis of religion. OBCs are playin the game better than we are....we should learn some startegies from them.

Just because women are stoned to death for adultery in a few countries with Islam as religion, dosen't mean islam is a bad religion. Similarly, genocide of native Americans by Spanish Evagelists dosen't mean Christianity is a bad religion.(other examples could be crusades). So an out and out attack on Majority religion would be as stupid as communists supporting "China" during 1962 war, it will end up alienating us.A book like "Why I am not a Hindu" would provide further ammunition to Hindu nationalism.Hindu nationalism rhetoric is winning OBCs. "Why am I an atheist" would have done the job,why do we have to loose the support of even those OBCs.

The arguments get insane in higher educational institutions, to "Do you want respect or reservation? Why should I respect you when I already gave you reservation"....this is the line of argument in IITs/IIMs/Higher educational institutions. When we know that religion itself is a farce "opiate of the masses", why engage in mudslinging.

My point is, First generation reforms brought political rights to the dalits, that was in 6 decades ago....When are we going to get economic benefits....where are the second generation reforms?

  12. Comment by a unknown Hindu Indian "Indian independence vachina 65 yrs ki kuda with all the opportunities given (reservations, concessions.. etc), if you people still want to complain, that just shows your heights of laziness!"

One way we still lack the cooperation among ourselves in bringing our own fellow citizens to utilize the opportunities.

Other way we have to agree how hard is to break this caste (very old) system.

Hope is keep educating... This book is all about the same thing.... Educate yourself.
Read about the people who went to next level using these opportunities in this book!
